UPDATE! High Speed Rail Projects
Meeting Held at the Tampa Convention Center for Minority Owned and Small Businesses. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) through its Florida Rail Enterprise hosted a public information session at the Tampa Convention Center, on Tuesday August 31st. Rail Enterprise officials, explained how minority owned and small businesses can be part of a team to bid on Florida’s high speed rail project connecting Tampa to Orlando. Full Story

Local Business Tax Renewals in Polk County
On July 1, 2010 The Polk County Tax Collector’s Office sent out 40,416 County Business Tax Receipt renewal forms. The tax was increased by 5% over last year and businesses have 90 days to renew their county business tax receipt.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available for Tampa Bay Businesses Impacted by BP Oil Spill
