Dear Tampa Bay & Southwest Florida Exporters:
Are you interested in exporting your products or services to Australia and New Zealand? If so, you are invited to attend our LUNCH ‘N’ LEARN event on “Doing Business in Australia and New Zealand” on Thursday, July 25 from 12:00-1:30pm in Tampa.
Our guest speaker will be Joe Kaesshaefer, Senior Commercial Officer of the U.S. Commercial Service in Australia and New Zealand, based at the U.S. Consulate in Sydney, Australia. Joe will provide an overview of both markets as well as opportunities for U.S. exporters.
Australia has proven to be an appealing and profitable market for American companies for many years, made more desirable since the 2005 enactment of the Australia–U.S. Free Trade Agreement. As the world’s 13th largest economy and a GDP of $1.4 trillion, Australia’s per capita GDP of $60,000 is one of the highest in the world. It offers very few barriers to entry, a familiar legal and corporate framework, and a sophisticated – yet straightforward business culture. New Zealand offers the ease of an English-speaking culture, a stable democracy, rule of law, a transparent market, and business practices similar to those in the United States.
Cost: $10. Pre-registration is required. Lunch will be provided by FedEx Services.
When: Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Small Business Development Center, 1101 Channelside Drive, 2nd Floor, Tampa, FL 33602
