Local Business Tax Renewals in Polk County

On July 1, 2010 The Polk County Tax Collector’s Office sent out 40,416 County Business Tax Receipt renewal forms.  The tax was increased by 5% over last year and businesses have 90 days to renew their county business tax receipt.

Formerly called an ?occupational license?, the County Business Tax Receipt is required for anyone engaged in a business in Polk County. Businesses that do not renew or obtain an initial receipt are can be fined and failure to comply can also result in a criminal violation.
