Florida Export Series – 3 Part Series - This export series will put you on the right path toward international growth and expansion.
#1 INTRO TO INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Topics include: export readiness, market selection and research, payment methods and financing.
#2 DEALING WITH YOUR EXPORT MARKET
A short course in international business culture. Topics include: understanding
cultural differences, customary etiquette, protocol, communication across cultures, gift giving, and dealing with interpreters.
#3 EXPORT DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
Topics include: harmonized codes, free trade agreements, licensing and compliance with US government agencies, export documentation and INCOTERMS.

International Trade Certificate Program – 7 Module Series - An Official NASBITE CGBP Accredited Training Program - If you own a successful business and want to explore potential international markets or are an exporter with limited international market experience, then the International Trade Certificate Program is right for you! This 7 module class will prepare you for the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional Exam.

SBDC at USF - NASBITE Training Staff
Eileen Rodriguez – Certified NASBITE Trainer
As the regional director of the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida (SBDC at USF), Eileen Rodríguez leads the Center’s 10-county area in its legislative and community outreach. She is also responsible for securing funding, building strategic partnerships, and leading initiatives that foster entrepreneurship in the Bay area.
Eileen joined the SBDC at USF in 1997 as a Certified Business Professional, providing business consulting and educational seminars for pre-venture and established businesses. She specializes in international business and trade, women and minority owned business, and is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional.
In developing the SBDC at USF’s international program, she formed its International Trade Certificate Program, which is one of only 11 NASBITE International accredited trade assistance programs in the world. She has recently received the Certified Trainer designation from NASBITE. Eileen also designed the SBDC’s Growth Acceleration Program (GAP), which caters to mature business entities’ diverse needs in developing sustainable growth strategies.
Eileen’s extensive experience as a businesswomen and business owner allows her to provide specialized knowledge and skills necessary for developing small business’ growth. Prior to joining the SBDC, she owned an environmental consulting firm and is a licensed professional geologist in Florida and Puerto Rico.
